ALLEN PARK
A contemporary two storey house with a central courtyard on a 300 sqm lot, near coastal parklands. The courtyard and glazed entrance-staircase link permit cross-ventilation by sea breezes in summer and fill the living areas with warming northern sunlight in winter. Rear garaging off a right-of-way maintains the pedestrian scale and landscaped connection of the residence to the street.
MOUNT CLAREMONT
A recently completed large residence surrounded by trees in an established suburb. The house over three levels is set back on the lot to create a large northern garden. The white interiors filled with light, have grey concrete floors with timber cabinet and joinery elements.
AUGUSTA
An award winning large three level residence overlooking the ocean. The site planning engages the house with the prominent position, whilst creating living areas screened from the coastal conditions. An anchoring central fireplace and chimney element at the focus of the house is from stone recovered from the site.
FLINDERS BAY
A large traditional weatherboard and stone house over three levels in a building conservation precinct, south of the Augusta townsite, on the old Leeuwin Lighthouse road. An award winning project, where the quietly dramatic siting and position on a steep treed hillside, is complemented by finely wrought details, materials and fit-out.
